Having explored portions of Spiral Cave, I've set up a training plan for my Lv8 Mogas:
1. Training in the pasture areas between the cemetery and Windhym; until Lv10
2. Training in Spiral Cave until Lv14 or higher.
Only after these can I go to the Rue Morgue and survive, since the Mogas are at least Lv13. I might continue training in Spiral Cave up to level 18, depending on the strengths of the Mogas there.

Fought a Vuvu (Lv8) with Thorn; since they don't interest me I simply killed the Vuvu despite it having a 100% capture chance. +114 XP.
Continued training at Heavenly Greens Steps. Fights:
Asknedslag Arvinge versus Lv8 Zomoo -- took a lot of damage, but defeated. +114 XP.
Storartad Torne versus Lv8 Vuvu -- +114 XP.

Versus another Munnin: sent out Vaxt. Vaxt had a 3x Advantage -- zodiac damage range: 34-49. Quite a weak Moga, not entirely worth training, to be honest.
Defeated the Munnin with 83 damage in 1 turn (Munnin Lv3 has 66 HP). +42 XP.
Miasma Depths
Versus an "A.C." Moga -- Lv.3, 70 HP, Common. Used Mork Vinge Tredje, who had a More advantage.
Zodiac damage range under More: 37-53.
First attack missed; opponent's special move missed; took 40 damage from attack by opponent.
Second attack did 41 damage. Took 38 damage from opponent.
Defeated opponent on 3rd attack. 53 damage. +42 XP.
Mega Hole
Uncommon enemy at Mega Hole! A Pwee -- planning to catch it..
Sent out Vaxt; Less disadvantage against Pwee. Used Armor 2 and then Kick 1. Did 54 damage; critical hit.
Flametongue move by Pwee; took 25 damage.
Very small chance of capturing; decided to restock Moga Cash with my Gaia Cash mid-battle.
Managed to catch Pwee without using cash! Feeling very lucky at the moment.
Named the Pwee 'Ansta Drake' -- "Become Dragon" -- since it evolves to a dragon eventually.
Will have to catch four more of these before I can evolve the Moga, which will then evolve to a true dragon. Not sure what that dragon was; checking now....

Fought a Nar (Lv3) -- used Mork Vinge Tredje. Planning on continuously using Mork for this until he's level 6.

Sent out Munnin (Lv5); killed the Nar in 2 turns. +42 XP. Planning to use Munnin for the next few battles; when he is out of HP I'll just return and switch out to my strong team.

Trolo was still very alive -- killed Thorn immediately in one hit.
My amusement isn't entirely appropriate for the 'deaths' of those Moga, but it's honest.

I'm pretty happy about Dodsfall doing so well.

Switched Mork Vinge Tredje out with Storartad Torne, my Thorn. Stats:

Obtained a Pisces Rare Collection card after battling a Willo at East Summer Road with Asknedslag Arvinge; close to completing the Capricorn common, Pisces common and Sunshire Cadet collection items - 1 card away from each. The Aries Rare collection which I need 2 more cards for (Woolf and Spike) will get me a Sandburrow (Super-Rare classification) Moga when traded; once I get the Shadown Cadet Card I'll have completed the Sunshire Cadet collection, which will net me a Mantra Moga (Uncommon).
Fought a Lv7 Crabao (Beginner) with Dödsfall, my Mek (Uncommon) starter moga, at Shellstone Beachfront. Dödsfall was at Lv8 when I started the fight; stats:
Zodiac type: Virgo (can't make the symbol for it atm).
Physical attack "Bodyslam 2", Acc. 92%, Critical 17% PP 15
Special move "Stoneskin 2", PP 5
Zodiac move "Spinning Blade 2", Acc. 92%, Critical 20% PP 5
Advantage over Crabao was 'More'; Zodiac attack, Spinning Blade, has a damage range of 62 to 88 under 'More'.
Took a surprising amount of time to kill the Crabao; didn't take any serious damage. Exp +100. Didn't level up.

While returning to the forest area to train Asknedslag Arvinge and Mork Vinge Tredje (team's third Moga, stats below), I was brought into a fight with a Lv6 Weeplet. Since all Mogas on the team had a 2x advantage, I sent out Asknedslag Arvinge since, at Lv6 bordering on Lv7, he would benefit most. Killed the Weeplet in 2 turns; Exp +85, leveled up to 7 with 45 Exp spillover.
